Juniata College Academics

Juniata College is well known for offering an excellent academic atmosphere for students to thrive in and obtain the best experience possible.  Administrators have developed programs of study in a learning environment that promotes growth and academic exploration.  Students at Juniata have the opportunity to design an educational road map that will lead them to a degree in a field they will love and be truly passionate about. Juniata is also proud to connect individually with each student and be attentive to their academic needs.  Each student is given two academic advisors as form of support in Juniata’s two-advisor system.

Juniata was named one of the top 361 colleges in the 2006 Princeton Review, and in 2009 “Forbes” magazine ranked it 75th amongst America’s Best Colleges.  The college was listed as 1 of 13 “best performing” colleges according to a 2004 study by the Teagle Foundation. It was noted as an “overachieving college” based on an “exceptionally high graduation rate” and “has a high percentage of students who go to earn doctoral degrees and achieves those numbers through efficient use of resources.”
